Can you send in rebates on newegg referbs?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question, but I didn't know where to ask. Delete or lock if it's not ok.

I was wondering if any knew if you are you able to send in rebates on referb Items from newegg. Newegg sasy that all referbs come "OEM, BAREBONE" but it seems most people get the pacaging any way. Has anyone ever tired it?

this is the wrong place for this question, BUT, I'm pretty sure you CANNOT... You may get away with it, but for the most part I don't think you could.... since the reciept would say "REFURB" on it.

Their refurbs come in different packaging than new products.

i have gotten retail packaging on a few, but not many - you need the upc so most of the time refurbs are sol...

I've lucked into some Newegg refurbs that have the full retail kit, in which case you might be able to pull off the rebate.
