This is probably a dumb question, but i just wanna make sure before i put money into this project. I want to build a dinky computer for the living room to play dvd, divx, etc and am thinking of using a simple card with a tv out. Will I run into a problem with this box being standalone running XP?

I am currently running a HTPC in my living room with a Radeon 7500 PCI card and its only output is the RCA tv out. It boots up just fine with that and works right away from the bios. I have also done the same thing with a GF3TI200 card, so I think it probably works with just about every card. Hope this helps.

You will run into problem if an application (or you) change to a resolution unsupported by your TV-output. Keep a monitor handy for emergency configuration.
