I bought a cheap personal disc player (Walkman), but it's made by White-Westinghouse. Only cost $20 had a radio and cassette player. Turned out to be a real POS and could only pick up 4 stations, where my regular stereo could pick up the whole spectrum of stations in the same room as the White Westinghouse. That was the only brand K-Mart sold, they didn't even have any real Walkman. Oh well, I'm going to return it today. I bought it at a further away K-Mart last night when I was doing some shopping out of town, do you think the local K-Mart will take it back? I paid in cash. Thanks

edit - oh yeah I have the receipt.

Yes, and since you have the receipt for cash they should give you cash back, especially since it's only 1 day old. Most stores will accept items from other branch stores even without a receipt and just give you a store credit. With a receipt they'll give you the same form of payment back (i.e., a credit card charge will get a credit back to the card)

Yep, it worked. I got my $20.99 back on that POS White Westinghouse portable cassette player.

Word to the wise, White Westinghouse blows goats for a nickel a herd. I worked Kmart for several years in the electronics department and up at customer service, and you would not believe how much of that junk comes back.
