Can you restart PS2 through the controller ?

I just got HDLoader and a nice 120 GB drive in my PS2. Now that I've loaded a few games in there, I want to be able to access the HDLoader menu easily after I'm done playing a game. Right now the only way I know how is by restarting the PS2 manually by hitting the power button.

Is there a way to restart the PS2 through the regular controller ??

How about the DVD remote?? I don't have one, but would be willing to buy one for this purpose.

For some games (FFX for instance) you can restart by hitting L1, L2, R1, R2, start, and select. Not sure if it works with other stuff.

Pretty much only Square Enix games.

Beyond that, you're going to have to get off your butt and reset it.

is your PS2 modded with a mod chip (don' t know if you need a chip with this HDLoader thing since I don't own a PS2)?

I know on my modded Xbox I can hit the Left Trigger + Right Trigger + Back + Start buttons on the controller to reset my Xbox. So PS2 might have something similar.
