Can you replace the TV os

I am wondering if there is any way to replace a Vizio tvs os with a linux based operating system, so i can access a browser.

Only if the TV is specifically designed for it, and I haven't heard of any that are.

Although i woudlnt expect it to be as cheap as buying a TV with the needed apps already installed.
