Can you replace mobo/processor in WIn2k without a format of HDD?

Or is it required when I put in my new P3850/100mhzFSB and ASUS CUSL2-C FCPGA ATX ATA100 133FSB??? I would like to save the pain of reinstalling EVERYTHING, but am not sure if it can be done, help is appreciated!

Thanks!

I doubt it......I had to reinstall when I copied my stuff over to a new HDD - I seriously doubt it will work with a whole new motherboard. Although you can definitely try.

I upgraded from my EpoxSuper7 & K6-2 350 to an Epox 8KTA3 & Tbird 850 @ 1gigahertz and I didnt have to format. Windows2k made me reboot a few times but after that its been running smoothly without a hitch.

You can probaly do it but the headache involed is at times equal to the headache you get when reinstalling everything.
