Can you recommend a good G/N router to use a wireless client bridge?

I need to bridge for wireless and wired clients in the basement of an old Townhouse. (thick plaster walls) Currently wireless reception is fairly poor down there with only 2 bars on the 2.4ghz G network being used by the crappy FIOS router upstairs.

Criteria: Dead stable so I won't have to provide constant tech support.

Price: Less that ~$80

A system that uses DD-WRT or even the stock firmware if it supports client bridge mode is fine.

If it is poor downstairs putting their a bridge that receives 2 Bars will No do so good either.

I would Try a Good Router connected with a Cable to the source and placing somewhere (like in the Hallway that it is to lay a cable to.

The Linksys mention above can be a Good choice.
