can you really sell organs?

A guy in Florida got around the law by making one of his kidneys available for a 99 year lease.

Edit: Actually, I don't know if he ever was able to lease it out or not. Maybe someone will be productive and do a google search.

Yes, people need them, but when your only remaining kidney shuts down, give your contact a call.

i was considering the teste over the kidney. I'll save the kidney in case my fam ever needs one.

Kidenys are the big one here and in foreign countries because the waiting list typically exceede the time left to live mark. I watched a 60 minutes report, and in foreign coutries, where the organs are not worth near so much, you can get $40,000 for one. If you contract inside the US, you can supposedly get over $100,000.

The problem is that the poor will really find this tempting, and many don't consider it right to force someone to give up their organs to make money to live on.

there are other ways to survive. Free thinking beings can work at any mccdonalds or fasst food chain for money. drug addicts are cab drivers in po town. There are ways to make money i dont see this as poor people being forced to seel there body parts. If they were not so goddamn lazy they would get a job. If friggin mexicans can survive on 50 dollars a week picking strawberry's bustin there ass everyday i have no sympathy for a lazy poor person. If mexicans can find jobs and survive anybody can.

n e how...my concern would be more towards only the wealthy patients getting kidneys etc. while the poor people would remain on a donor list indefinitely. That would be an unbelievably evil example of a class system. Beyond that, it would be the people facing economic hardship that would be exploited to sell their organs as well.

If you have the money you should be able to buy the best of everything. Its allowed with medical treatment(HIV medicines..i.e. magic johnson) why not with organs?
