Dimensionally however the HSF should work, just needs to manage to find a way to lock HSF onto CPU. I'm thinking if I can use the spring steel arms from Socket A, and then use it to replace the locking spring piece in the Socket 754 HSF. I haven't taken the measurement yet but it seems like an interesting project.

there are number of HSF designs with switchable pieces that can make it fit 462/754/939/AM2. Some will even have bracket for LGA775.
