I can... all but the thumbs. It makes a popping noise like cracking your knuckles, and the bump on the back of the hand where the finger connects visibly splits into 2 separate bumps. They snap back in place as soon as I let go. Looks painful but isn't.

Wondering just how wierd this is.

I do this once in a while. It doesn't hurt and makes a slight popping noise like you described.

Yes. I can also force my shoulder blades out pretty far, dislocate my shoulder on demand, partially dislocate my hip, etc...

It's called being double-jointed, or having hyperextendable joints. :)

yes, I pop my joints too. The sound is gas escaping from your joints. It's not harmful to your hands at all unlike what the old wivestale says about getting arthritis. Google it.

ROFL!

It's pretty standard; all you're doing is stretching the joint. No biggie.

Well you aren't supposed to be able to. ;)

It's close if I pop my left shoulder out first and lie face down with my weight on it to hold it that way. Right shoulder doesn't come out.

Yes to the joints. I can pull my shoulder out of its socket, I used to be able to touch my tongue to my nose, I used to be able to hook the bases of my middle fingers atop their proper sockets, I'm double jointed in every single finger (and finger socket) joint except my right thumb, I only have 1 double joint in that one, etc.

Oh yeah, I can loosen up my spine on demand. I think it's visible when I do it.

Can you twist your neck 180 degrees to look behind you like in the exorcist?
