The PAL have nothing to do with the regional code....for exemple I have a PAL dvd with region 1 setting. Ok now....only some dvd players can read PAL without behind multi region.
My dvd player does it..it a JVC from 2 years ago...i paid 350$ for it at that time...

Not if it does the conversion properly. The CH-500 also has selectable outputs, so you can convert NTSC<=>PAL and play on either an NTSC or PAL TV.
