Can you place Inspire speakers upside down and get the same quality?

The reason I ask is because I?m thinking of getting the Inspire 5.1 Digital (5700).
Well I also have one of those office ceilings with tiles, I?m sure you guys know what I?m talking about. I was thinking if I drilled holes in the basses of the speakers and attached them to the ceiling ? upside down.
Would they still work properly? I mean I don?t see why not, but maybe you guys know better.

Thx for all your help.

Afaik, all speaker mfgrs recommend the satellite speakers be placed at ear-level.

Put them in the ceiling and the sound will come from there.

The problem with placing them on the ceiling is that your really going to have a hard time of placing the "sweet spot" of the sound where you are. Its doable but with difficulty. It won't hurt the speakers in any way (but like the others said subwoofer + ceiling = bad)
