can you overclock your sound card??

When someone says overclocked sound card the only thing I can think of is when you would put a tape in a tape deck and then press fast forward while holding down play and you hear the voice at 10x normal speed 🙂 lol.
 
hahaha,. yeah, i see no point but was just wondering. if you could i really don't see any benefits, will it make the 3d sound better?? i mean it already takes all the work off the cpu for sound, or does it. ?
 
sure you could overclock it, then it could handle higher bitrate audio and stuff like that. No need really though.

No, it wouldn?t. The most you could possibly hope for is better performance in applications that make heavy use of the DSP such as 3D games.
