;) A Rad8500 running at 230/230 is still very fast, it's dipping below this which should be avoided (some are 230/166!). You should be able to o/c a bit, 270/250 should be doable but it does come down mostly to luck. Anyway for the price that's an amazingly good deal esp from the great newegg so go grab it!

there is a volt-mod trick to get those cards running as fast as retail ones. the thing is, ati undervolts those cards on purpose (which can be a good thing if you want a nice cool card). anyhow, if you up the voltage just enough to match that of a standard retail 8500 you should be able to hit 250 core at the very least. memory is a different story. if you get stuck with the 4ns stuff i wouldn't count on much more than 240.

honestly, my 8500 retail at 275/275 is pretty borderline as far as games like UT2K3 and FIFA2003. I would spend the extra $10 to get a card that is clocked at 250/250 or even 275/275. good luck.
