Say you get two GT's, watercool them, can you make two ultras? Does sli config alow for overclocking?

It does, I believe I read somewhere that they have to be at the same clocks though, the same way that they need to have the same version of bios, and apparently come from the same vendor.

yeah, but if they are already cpu limited, why bother?

Why booootheeeer???? :shocked:

What about the greatest of the benchmarks? You know which one.... 😀

Yeah baby o/c those biatches till they melt!!!! Yeaaaaaah!!!! Ooooh yeaaaah!!!!

Insert ---> bull$hit <--- here

When to you reckon they'll start developing 3way SLI cards? :roll: 😉 Are you trying to get 60fps at 2560*1920 with 16AA/AF with real time brush stroke effects on Doom3 or something?

Seriously now I think Zebo didn't mean it that way... 🙂
From his posts in general, I think this question was of literal nature...

even if u are cpu limited, you can still maintain higher your fps better if u overclock your video cards...and u can enable higher levels of aa/af with less of a performance hit.

You can but they need to run at the same clock speed so when you OC them you have one slider not two.

So since the clocks have to be the same, do you think (or have you actually seen this) the sliders are locked together? I guess you just gotta hope both cards o/c equally well. 🙂

I think I read somewhere that it si just one slider not two locked together. And that would suck if you got a great OCer and a bad one in the same system.

i suppose it depends in the blocks and the board. For instance the A8N-SLI has a 1x slot between the 2 sli slots. If you left that open, it would probably fit fine. Check out this pic from skybum's rig. Honestly the nb block looks like more of a problem:

As for others.......

Edit:Oh wait, I guess there are 2 1x's in between the sli's 😱, sorry
