 A quick search will answer your question, but since I'm here...

;) For a breif time simply to get the Rad9500nonPRO on the market some were released on the Rad9700PCB which meant if they had 128MB they'd also be using 256bit DDR making them like a Rad9700 except they only had 4 pipes instead of 8 which is VERY important. So even if you were lucky enough to find a Rad9500nonPRO with 128MB built on the 9700PCB you could then look at enabling all 8 pipes (as 4 were dormant BUT untested too) which was possible through sw alone. BUT the chances of successfully enabling all 8 pipes EVEN with the right card were below 50% which is a big gamble considering the Rad9500PRO is a LOT faster and only a little more expensive. Both the Rad9500 and Rad9500PRO should o/c near to Rad9700PRO clock speeds, so if you were lucky enough to get a 9500nonPRO with 128MB on a 9700PCB AND could enable all 8 pipes AND could reach 9700 clock speeds you would in effect have a complete equivilent of a true 9700PRO.

:D So short answer NO, forget about it, look to either the Rad9500PRO or Rad9700.

;) No porblem bud (forgot to search myself a few times in the past). Do consider the Rad9700std as with a little and easy tweak it will o/c to yield Rad9700PRO perf. You may regret getting a Rad9700PRO so lcose to the GF-FX range hitting the shelves AND the paper release of the newer Radeon series. Still it is a champ and will last you a very good while!
