Can you lower the multiplier on the Allendale core?

Assuming of course that your motherboard has the feature to do this.

Sure, I've done it. Just make sure you turn off Speedstep EIST and C1E. The Intel chip drivers inside Windows will load as Windows loads, and will force default Intel multiplier to overwrite BIOS multiplier upon loading windows. And you wont' be able to get into Windows.

Thanks I'm building a HTPC and want to be able to fiddle with the multiplier a bit. I only want to clock as high as necessary to get smooth HD playback.
