Can you love someone too much....

First let me say that I love my 6 year old daughter more than words can describe.

So we are at the supermarket the other day and my daughter is standing next to the shopping cart handle when this woman come by rather fast with her car and slams into my cart which in turn hits my daughter.

In less than 1 second I went from calm daddy to extremely protective and angered daddy. After asking my daughter if she was OK I turned to the woman and as my wife described it, game her a look my wife had never seen before and thought I was going to lunge at her and kill her right there as she stood. The women apologized a million times but all I felt was rage, I turned because I knew nothing good was going to come out of my mouth.

Anyway...did you ever have that feeling? 😉

Admit it, you turned away only because she apologized profusely. Think about what you would do if she just stared for a second and moved on like nothing happened.

Goooooood. Let the hate flow through you!

Passive-aggressive dad (me) would have belittled and berated the shit out of the woman in the span of about 30 seconds to the point that by the time she got to her car she would have probably committed suicide for harming one of my kids.

Ask my wife... yes, I'm that good.

No you can't (to your thread title). When it comes to my children, fuck anyone that hurts them (accidentally or on purpose).

if it were done out of malice, the outcome would be vastly different for me. if it were an accident, id make sure my kid was alright, probably say something rude to the lady about watching where she is going and leave it at that. if i thought she had done it intentionally, id likely smash her with her own cart until the bag boys called the cops.

NICE!! 😀

I'm usually more critical of my own children's actions than I am of others around my kids.

Except when it comes to how people drive in my neighborhood. I game some bitch who lives on my street the Luigi Death Stare when she blew through a stop sign outside my house. Next time she saw me she wouldn't even look me in the eye.
