Kia= 5 year 60k bumper to bumper & 10 year 100K powertrain warranty... From my standpoint as a mechanic that of course does not like to work on his own stuff this is great... Just another note I had bought the wife a 2005 Corolla S new (in 05 of course) and it had the reg 3 year 36K warranty and we added a policy that extended it to 75K that cost an extra $650... We never used the frick'in thing as the car never even went to a shop the entire 106K miles we had it which was a good thing but still if it had the warranty would have been worth it to me... As of now we have 12.5K miles on it no problems so far...
My thoughts... A good warranty for something the wife drives is very important even to a mechanic... Plus the warranty includes 24hour roadside assistance which to me is peace of mind even though I have a fully loaded service truck and if needed a nice car hauler too...
