Copy and paste the above number in Ebay to see what I just purchased. I think its a good deal, as I have been looking around for a while. Does this system have potential? I pray that it does, but I want all of you geniuses' input. I intend to overclock and heard that the motherboard I got is good for that. Also, I am going to be using my Geforce 6800Gt with that system......Thanks!

Um, it's ok.

You got a lot of parts there that you either won't use or are worth jack. For example, the 5900 you're obviously getting rid of, the Ultra XConnect PSU will probably be better in the trash, and some parts like the Volcano have high potential for replacement. He claims that system is worth 2500? Maybe 4 years ago.

If all you were looking for were the CPU, motherboard, ram, and case, you coulda gotten them cheaper new. I'd say that price barely justifies.

The reason I took the deal was that I was gonna get the same RAM, MOBO, CPU and a hard drive for about 500.00. This way, I can swap out the video card into my old machine and sell my old one for a few hundred bucks, coming out on top.....

the "Valued at $2500" thing is BS, I dont think you get the originals on any of the software which is what could make the system even approach $2k. Like mrvile said, lots of useless stuff

Agreed about the valued at thingey....Priced out separately its a close call.....But, I am excited about the upgrade!

A64 3200+ Venice cpu 2ghz
Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard
ASUS FX5900 XT video card
1GB Corsair RAM
120gb Maxtor 7200rpm Hard drive
Thermaltake Volcano 12 adjustable cpu fan
Sony DVD R/RW +/-
Ultra X-Connect 500w PSU
Panasonic CD/RW
Mouse and Keyboard
Floppy

Already installed on machine:
Microsoft Works Suite 2004
Microsoft Office 2003
Adobe Photoshop 7
AVG 7 anti-virus
Adaware Pro 1.5 spyware remover
Far Cry
Doom 3 and Doom 3: Ressurection
Call of Duty and Call of Duty: United Offensive

Like the others said, the 2500 worth is bs, but still, if you were to buy that stuff anyway, you get some software and some other ¨bonus¨ components.

I've heard bad stories about that power supply, but 500W should be plenty enough for your system...if the Ultra don't go up in flames 😉 Personally I wouldn't take the risk of running a good system without a power supply from a good brand, but it's up to you, it may run fine.

i dont think it is overly that good of a buy, i think he takes the p1ss stating the software that is already on there (it is obviously downloaded software anyway).. and i dont know why people are stating that the power supply is crap, when the reviews said that the PSU was not that bad .. although you could get better for the same price.. the total cost is £483.42 (GBP) to put that into perspective:

that mobo: £70.44
that proc: £140.00
that case: £52.82

^^the only decent parts really^^

total = £263.26 or $485.96

so you paid over double the total price for the only parts that you would really want .. you should have asked on here then built you own for a better price/performance ratio.. ooh well you have bought it now..
