Can you link a picture within an e-mail?

Say you have the url to a picture, can you add that link to an e-mail so it loads when the person reads the e-mail? I was thinking use the "img" tag in the source tab on OE.

You can if you're sending HTML formatted mail, but not if it's text.

How would you do it in outlook express? I tried a couple ways but no joy.

Tools --> Options --> Send --> Click "HTML" under "Mail Sending Format"

Now, make a new message. Copy the image to the clipboard, go into the message and paste it in. Or you can click Insert --> Picture.

I have rich text selected. It sounds to me like you're describing a hyperlink to the picture (ie., they have to click the link and it loads in a browser.) What I want to do is have that picture load within the e-mail.

Wait, the picture insertion thing works. If you put the URL there it works.
