can you learn to sing?

it's proven that girls like guys better if he can sing - so make fun of deeko all you want about his obsession (sorry deeko, you do seem pretty obsessed 🙂) with boy bands, girls are swarming around him. me, I can't carry a tune to save my life...but can you actually learn/practice enough to sing good or is it an innate talent? I tried singing along to piano man and american pie but I suck 🙂
 
Some people have lots of talent and dont have to practic.
Some people have a little talent and do practic some.
Some people have no talent and need to practic alot.
I had a friend when I was growing up who wand to be a singer, he tried out for my other friends band I was there and he sucked bigtime.
He got a singing coach and went to see this person 3 days a week, I could not belive how much better he got after 1 year. The teacher was not cheap but I thing worth it.
 
Well, don't hate me but I know the voice coach for Nick and Aaron Carter. My daughter has taken voice lessons from her, and I have known her for over 10 years.

Pretty much anyone can learn to sing... but part of the trick is developing a style.

I'm a good mimic and can 'impersonate' certain singers, but I don't really have a distinctive style of my own.

Part of being a good singer is simply loving to sing... a lot of great singers do not have the most beautiful voices, but they can carry a tune and put enough passion and style into it that they sound good.

There's a certian amount of practice involved and lessons are a good idea if you want to learn, but imo it's mostly talent.

As for me, I'm a lost cause. I can't carry a tune to save my life.
 
I know people that want to sing have to start when they were a kid... And practice from then on. Most of it is talent.
 
Its just like anything else for the most part people suck at new things.
Get a teacher and practice practice practice.
