Can you install SP2 without having installed SP1 or SP1a?

I'm reinstalling WinXP Home, and was wondering if I had to install SP1a (since SP1 is no longer downloadable) or could I just install SP2?

And is there a difference (besides time) betweening installing SP2 from CD or slipstreaming it?

just install sp2..no need to install sp1.
no real difference...yoou can look at it as an upgrade (installing from cd) and a fresh install if its slip streamed

slipstreaming means that you won't have to spend another half na hour upgrading to sp2 after a fresh windows installation..you choose now
