I have a Windows install and I'd like to keep it and not reinstall after I get a new mobo. Can I install the drivers for the mobo and raid before I add new mobo to case?

you can't add them to a list? you know how sometimes when you go to add something you have had in stalled before it does it automatically? that would be nice

The easiest way to do this is to install drivers after the mobo swap, I recomend doing a winxp repair after the new mobo is put in. Remove as many drivers as you can before you do the swap also.

The repair usally works but I have had it fail every now and then.

If it works all old programs should work.

Good Luck

If you are dead set on keeping your windows installation, the best route to go is to delete as many of the existing motherboard drivers, and drivers for things you currently have as possible. Then install the hardware, boot to SAFE MODE. Remove any existing remnant files, delete registry entries that are left(if you don't want to do it manually, find something like RegistryFirstAid.). Then you can either reboot to windows and install your new devices, or install under safe mode, I can't recall which works better.
