No.

I could live but I'd have to do things the old fashioned ways.

Go there.
Phone.
Fax.
Yell.

I think you should be banned for bringing up such a HORRIBLE AND INCREDIBLY SCARY topic.

Although I enjoy the internet immensely and utilize it in my work daily, it would take me about 3 hours to get over the withdrawls. I could go back to the "old" ways of communicating with no difficulty. It would be a traumatic experience for you young people who grew up with it, though.

How many of you can remember when television was only black and white?

Can you remember when stereo sound came out?

In what year did Ford introduce the overhead valve engine into its production cars?

Sorry if this is a little OT, but the original question made me start thinking (always a bad thilng).

No Internet, No cell phones, No faxes....No problem

Life just goes along slower than it does now. The problems remain exactly the same but take longer to develop and to be discovered by those involved. For instance, at the turn of the 19th century, it took months for news of who won a National election to be reported. Now we expect to know the results before the polls are closed. So what difference does it make really as long as everyone else in society is running at the same speed.

Typewriters and carbon paper copies with expert typists was the standard in the 1930s and 1940s. Now everyone is a typist with a word processor. Jobs and skills change as processes are speeded up.

I didn't use the internet until junior year in HS. It would take longer to do things, and I would probably spend more time watching TV.
