Can you identify someone by their cough?

When I am in the corporate bathroom, and someone coughs, I can tell who it is.

It's like their cough is a short burst at the same frequency and pitch as their normal voice.

Has anyone else noticed that?

It's far more than that. Harmonics and timbre are the most distinct factors for differences in voice. Can't say I'm surprised though
