Hey, edited my build...
-ma2 3800+ X2
-DFI am2 infinity
-Coolermaster centurion 534
-Enahnce 5140gh
-2x1gb Geil value pro
-Saphire x1900xt 256 mb

Where can I knock off a few bucks? The total is right around $1250 depending on time of purchase. Thanks guys!

Thanks for your responses!😀

I'm not sure if the x1900xt is the best bang for the buck item, since it is pretty expensive...
Edit: though if you're spending $1300... might as well.

lian li cases are definitely in the upper class of case quality. If you're trying to save money, there are plenty of nice, cheaper choices. For example, the coolermaster Centurion (5?) with an extra 120mm fan seems pretty solid.

Also if I'd get the 320gb 7200.10 seagate drive. The transfer rates are on par with the WD's raptors (well, not the 150gb model), which should feel pretty nice.

I'm not sure who's the best in mobos right now, but ASUS and Biostar have cheaper offerings in the same chipset.

Also, I'm sure some people will come here and tell you to get a Conroe, lol

yea well a conroe would be over $100 more...
the biostar am2 board is nvidia 550 not 570 ultra and the m2n-e is way too glitchy. I may go for a 7900gt or x1800xt.

7900 GT + VF900 Cu Zalman cooler - overclock it.
DFI NF4 LanParty - use it to OC that chip!
Raptors are a HUGE waste of cash imo. Seagate 320GB 7200.10 for the win.
Go for 2x1GB RAM. The performance you get from the extra RAM when gaming will FAR OUTWEIGH the extra 6 seconds you'd save when loading the game up on a Raptor vs. the 7200.10. Sort of a no-brainer that you don't waste money on slightly faster loading times when you could put it towards ACTUAL IN-GAME performance.

Oh and I'd get the Antec P180 instead. Head and shoulders above that Lian Li - which appears to be designed to emit as much fan noise as possible. My buddy has one like this - it looks cool but you might as well just put all the stuff on your desk next to you because it sounds like it's sitting right there.

I'd say that silvertstone is the EXACT same thing, just less $$$! Actually nvm, it's less powerful on the 12v rails.
If the price is right... ($140) I'll go for 2x1gb.
If I get an antec case, it'll probably be the slk300 for $45, otherwise I want aluminum.
centurion 5 vs. slk300?

EDIT: keep in mind I need to stay close to $1350, 2gb and any other upgrades will put me close to $1500.

Nouborne: are you suggesting I go with s939?

Alright, so based on some recommendations this is the revision:
am2 X2 3800+
MSI k9n platinum
Antec slk3000
Silverstone strider 400w
2x1gb OCZ gold 667mhz
ac freezer 64 pro
EDIT: Saphire x1800xt 256mb
viewsonic vx2025
logitech g5 laser
250gb seagate 7200.10
