I'd say that is a Mediterranean House Gecko.

Non-Native to America, but very common since it was introduced.

Big one caught a spider

Yup, they're cute little things. You have to be careful with them, they shed their tails very easily if you try to catch them.

Clever little creatures. Watch out, he might try to sell you car insurance. Kill him in the next 15 minutes, and you decrease that chance by 15% or more.

I think Ill spare him for the moment.

Coincidently I did raise my deductable from $500 to $1k and lowered my liability coverage limits from 300/100/300 to 50/25/50. Payments dropped from $84 to $55 /mo for full cov.

He'll either try and sell you insurance or start dancing when you play "thriller". Quick, get some shots of the dancing gecko!

we have those all over the place here in mesa. i have a family of them living in my pantry. they kill spiders, roaches and crickets, which cant be a bad thing. they also dont touch our food, or apparently go very close to it. i never see "droppings" or any real sign of them being in the pantry, but on occasion ill see them hanging out on the top boards or running for cover. i also have a few outside, front and back. my kids play with them all the time. i never see them get near my lizard cage tho, mebbe they are afraid of the godzilla-looking thing.

Glad to know that they cohabitate well. I thought perhaps I would release said critter to its natural habitat at some point. I also wonder what it would be like to eat it. :Q

Its fate will be decided this evening.

I have decided to release said animal back to nature. It is now a proud resident of Forest Park.

Sadly Forest park is also home to several thousand birds and cats. :(
