So I'm at the UCLA nutrition site..and they say

"Finally, the body can only use a maximum of about 0.9 g protein per pound of body weight per day for tissue building.  There is no way to store extra protein in the body."

And also, "Too much protein can be harmful to your health and your physical performance."

How accurate is that? They say that the maximum amount of protein a 170lb. person can take in a day is 154g..which is a lot, but definitely possible for someone like me..

it can't store it for building but it still calories that can be stored. suposedly if you eat nothing but protein it put extra stress on your liver, but so dosen't tylonal and beer.

I weigh 190lbs and eat about 250g of protein daily. Most bodybuilders try to eat more than 1g/lb, some go as high up as 1.5g/lb.

Dang, trying to get 140g of protein in my system (weigh 162lb)... I'd have to eat a TON of food and drink 40g supplements with every single meal. I only use 2x20g supplements right now! You need a lot of water if your body tries to turn it into glucose for energy right? as in if you didn't have much other sources of energy a la the Atkins diet.

Similar to my previous comment about Olean and anal leakage... anal crustiness is bad.
