Can you have dual monitors on a mobo with only 1 DVI and a DisplayPort?

Case in question:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131789

It has only1 DVI port, no D-SUB. Can I have dual monitors on this mobo using DVI on one monitor and DisplayPort on the other?

This is a FM1 socket board but my question also applies for those Intel Sandy Bridge boards which only have 1 DVI port and no D-SUB. Can you have dual monitors on them, via DisplayPort?

Well, earlier implementations only allowed for one digital source per motherboard. Sorry, I haven't a had a chance/reason to work with FM1 but I think you are right to be cautious about it.

I doubt it, really, as I believe they would have to pay more per board for the HDCP components?

I don't have access to any mobo manual. Remember? I haven't purchased it yet. And I will never purchase it ::- ). I am recommending some components to some friends.

I read the manuals. I read it for my own ASUS P8Z68 V-PRO but there was no mention of such things.

So this is why I'm asking you guys. Do I really need to explain why? ::- ).

No pdf for download? I am actually curious... I've gotten them from the support page of other vendors before.

I can bet you that they didn't list this information in the manual ::- ).

Jeeze, go read the manual... It's posted online, the link from NewEgg takes you there and the answer is posted in no uncertain terms.

I'd take your money, in this case.

I wonder why that is... DVI and HDMI are literally the same thing. You can just use a cable with HDMI on one end and DVI on the other to convert between the two (unlike DP-to-DVI). So, if you can do DP and HDMI simultaneously you can do DP and DVI with a HDMI-to-DVI cable even if you can't use the DVI and DP outputs on the motherboard at the same time.

waffleironhead & blckgrffn: *blush*

"But come on", said Axonn in a defensive tone, "look at blackened23, he has the same mobo I do and he confirmed they didn't list that kind of info in our manual".

Anyway, thank you guys...

Oh, and I admit I should have downloaded the PDF. But I was extremely busy with something else ::- D. I'm writing an article about ideal system configurations for 4 categories of PC usage. It has 6000 words that I have to check & polish. That's my only defense ::- ).
