the forum description is not enforced...personal flames seem to be overwhelmingly tolerated.

If we banned everyone who flamed in that forum 90% of those who participate there would be gone!

Banning members is like always walking half-way to the wall. :disgust:

No, conjur has definitely been on a tear recently, but there are many, many more members deserving of a ban. *cough* BBond *cough*

We've been asking a lot about more Mod action in P&N recently, but it seems they just don't care anymore. People like to joke about that place being a hell-hole of personal flames and trolls, but the truth is, up until a few weeks ago, it was a very civilized place, with the occasional trolls that were swiftly dealt with. Now, it's just a giant free-for-all where anything goes, it seems. :(

Maybe they didn't wanna waste their time on a neverending problem.

So does that mean they should quit moderating all the forums? Because they have neverending problems that need moderation too.

P&N just seems to have a special place because the emotional nature of politics in general. Maybe the best thing to do first is to highlight a particularly abusive member like cKGunslinger did. Don't just say that P&N needs a new mod (even if it does). If it's only a few members, the exisiting mods can do something about it. However, I think it's best to highlight what a particular member has said/continues to say.

The other forums aren't a cesspool of people who want nothing more than to flame each other to death.

Then again, anyone (say the OP) who starts threads entitled "reasons Bush is a monkey" is just looking to start a flame war anyhow....
