just curious. I am thinking of running Win 7 RC as my main and only OS(already running it now). I will also probably buy it when it comes out, so that would be helpfull. Anyone know if they have plans already or what they did with Vista.

Well, I've done upgrades from build 7000 to 7068 and from 7068 to 7077. They all went OK, but each upgrade had little issues that drove me crazy (probably my OCD ;)). MS has hinted that an upgrade will be possible.

I will be taking the time to re-install the RTM build. I've played with enough betas in my time that I have learned that a new build is still the best way forward.

Agreed. OP, it's highly recommended to not even consider an upgrade from RC builds to the retail build, even if it's possible. In my world, fresh build installs are the ONLY way to go, as upgrades seldom give you problem-free computing.

that is what I figured. Oddly enough, I have actually never done an update of any OS. Always did it from a fresh install. But was just wondering.
