Can you get the serial of your vid card without opening the case?

Haha, maybe he pulled the sticker off and trying to not look like an idiot. If there is such a program, I wouldn't know. It might be in the detailed computer hardware evaluation chart found in the 3dmarks, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The case itself is tucked into and under so much crap and wires, that it isnt a 2 second job to pop the side off. Its more like a small adventure to do so.

there is a second option...however it will be costly. Purchase one of those mini cameras tubes used in surgery, then tunnel through wires until serial number can be viewed clearly. GOOD LUCK :]

Most manufacturers ( but not all ) will also place a sticker with the Product Number and Serial Number on the outside of the box your card came in. Of course, finding the BOX might be a problem.

He's right, many manufactures put it on a sticker which your then supposed to put on the user manual. Probably wont help you much though...

Already done. It was a big pain in the arse to get the case pulled free from beneath the desk cubby hole with piles of crap all over and around it. I counted fourteen unopened reams of printer paper surrounding the damn PC:roll: Not to mention piles upon piles of old game boxes and other misc. office suplies....sheesh. I wonder how much longer it would have taken for the PC to completely disappear from sight

My boss needs a lesson in organazation....damn
