Can't tell if the OPs title is due to being inebriated or inbred... :hmm:

If you drink enough rum you could end up being inbred...:p

Otherwise, most of the alcohol cooks off, leaving the rum flavor, but little opportunity to become inebriated.

If I marry my girlfriend would she still be my sister?

I believe that's the state law in Alabama. If you divorce your wife, she's still your sister.

Yeah it smells strong but you're right the violent organic content is driven off by the kiln.

lol @ thread. However many rum cakes also have you drizzle the finished cake with rum. Still possible to get pretty inbred

tsk...tsk. GOOD fruit cake is fabulous. Unfortunately, most of the "dark" fruit cakes are really only good for use as door stops...
My wife makes a "light" fruit cake with dried tropical fruit that's almost heavenly. (bits of pineapple, mango, papaya, and sometimes starfruit)
