can you get cash back using a credit card?

Most credit cards do allow you to take a cash advance, but many start charging interest on the balance immediately. You do not get the advantage of having thirty days to pay-off the credit card balance before interest is charged as you do when you purchase goods and services.

here's what i'm wanting to do. i usually always pay with my debit card because i hate carrying cash, say i buy 10 bucks worth of stuff, when i pay using my debit i can get cash back(say $10) making the total 20 bucks($10 for my purchase plus the $10 i want in cash).

i was just wondering if a credit card could do that as well as i don't have my debit card on me ATM.

No, because then the merchant loses money.
