Can you get Asus A7N8X Delux (PCB 1.03) and Athlon XP Barton 2500 running at 400MHz bus (stable)?
Asus website says that only PCB 2.0 supports 400MHz bus with dual channel PC3200. Also, Tom's Hardware Guide mention something similar to that. I do have 2X256MB Corsair XMS PC3200 memory chips.

Just make sure you are using the latest bios - 1004. It can be found on their site

Other than that it shouldn't be a problem

Believe them. The A7N8X rev. 2 uses the nForce 2 Ultra 400 chipset. That's what supports the 400 MHz bus.

There is very little difference between the two chipsets (is there even any difference)?

My guess is perhaps nvidia made the NB flat instead of curved or something like that.

I think on thea7n8x rev 2.0 I little bit better voltage is supplied to the northbridge allowing for highier FSB's

I'm running my xp2100+ tbred 'b' at 2700+(2.2) with stock everything. Using corsair twinxms 3200LLPT 2x256. Temps are running about 46C on full load. I'm working on an slk-800U. Gonna try and see what else it can do!!!

I have A7N8X 1.04 and running Barton 2500+ @ 10.5x200 (3000+ speeds) without problems.
The only thing is my Barton is a bit hot but stable.
