Can you get an MP3 on your ipod with iTunes?

My main computer with my itunes library on it is fried.

I need to get a podcast onto my iPod without erasing the existing files, which is what would happen if I used iTunes on this computer.

Can I do that?

Copy the existing files to the computer first.

Then add everything + the podcast back to the ipod.
