..or move on to mechanical pencils and forget the sharpners. My paper shredder has one built in.

HOLY CRAP. I have the one we used when I was in elementary school. She not being a tard and putting a pen in there from time to time. And if shes the only one then I would say "tough." (Unless she can fire you!)

WTF?

Five hundred dollars+ for a freaking pencil sharpener? Are you completely insane?!

Not true, I own a Boston electric pencil sharpener that was around $10 and I've had it for 5 years now.

seriously, what is she doing that she goes through them like that? i would be more worried about finding the answer to that question before finding another pencil sharpener.

are you not in the least bit curious why she goes them so fast? talk about a waste of money.

somtimes you do things that are a bit irrational to make someone else happy
Plus, $100 is not that much cash

If she is wearing out the $25 ones too quickly, or any commonly bought sharpeners, then she isn't using it correctly.

Correct usage will let the sharpener last years.

Definitely a problem on her end, not the sharpeners.

Hand crank or mechanical pencil, 0.7mm #2. Those old hand crank pencil sharpeners are built rock solid.

Clearly the OP works for the government. Next he'll be wanting a $1000 toilet seat.
