Can you fresh install from an included Hewlett Packard XP cd?

For anyone with an HP, can you use that XP cd to do a fresh install or is it only for that particular HP with all crap already loaded?
 
Depends on the CD, I have some HP CD'd that are just a reimage CD and I have a few that are an XP Home OEM CD, just with an HP label, no HP crap on it and I use them all the time to do a new install of XP with them
