can you flash bios from a memory card reader?

flashed my dfi ti the latest bios from dfi and now it will not get past verify dmi pool.
i have tried every combo of setting i can think of and reset the cmos twice. i need to flash back so can i use my memory card reader if the board will boot from it?

The reader hooks to a USB port of some sort doesn't it? I believe I read somewhere that you shouldn't flash BIOS over a USB interface. Something like, when the BIOS is being overwritten, the USB ports may stop functioning briefly, thus cutting off the pathway to the BIOS image file, and halting the flashing.
I've not tried it myself though - I've always flashed from a floppy or a CD.
