Can you fix a crooked tooth w/o braces?

I'm 21 years old, and I've got a tooth that's starting to run in the wrong direction. I've noticed it for a while, but it's become progressively worse. I can't be in braces because I'm quite often in front of clients, and quite simply, I have enough adversity to overcome w/ my age, I don't want to add to it anymore.

Opinions appreciated. I know there are some minor surgical methods, but how good are they? It's really just this one tooth, and it's even become quite uncomfortable.

Thanks.

How expensive is that? Any idea?

Cost isn't that much of a concern, unless it starts to get really absurd.

Anyone here ever had this done, or know anyone who has? Opinions appreciated.

Easy to fix. Just head to the roughest neighborhood and pick the biggest, meanest guy you can find and spit in his face.

I had braces in my 13-16 years (my teeth were pretty bad, and my overbite was corrected), and it cost $3,600 I believe, a bunch of times I broke brackets, needing to be replaced at $25 each, and $300 for my retainers. I've heard that Invisalign costs in the $6,000-$8,000 range, but I don't know for sure.

well, at least you're not on braces the second time round :(

anyway, one thing about the invisiline thing, my brother actually had some made for him while his retainer was being made (i have no idea why...).. and his conclusion : your saliva gets stuck up in it a lot.. and it just sits there unless you empty it out :p

The other thing is you have to continually go back and get new ones for adjustment... i think it was something like every two weeks.

Get new teeth! I've got a porcelain one.. looks just like the original, even color-matched to the rest of my teeth! Nobody can tell, until you get under a black light...

Do they make caffeine/nicotene versions?

Actually, the ones that I'm missing are far enough back that they don't even show. Also missing one in the front, but those around it closed in and filled the space.

I got mine "fixed" before they ever went crooked. In other countries, it is common practice to remove a permanent tooth or two to make room for the others to grow in correctly. As such, I am short at least one tooth. However, every time I go into get my teeth cleaned, I always get a compliment on how nice my bite is and how straight my teeth are. :D

the first thing that comes to mind when I hear the OP's story is: have you had your wisdom teeth removed ? There is a reason why your tooth is taking a wayward path. Are you getting headaches? If it's a wisdom tooth(teeth) coming in then that will screw up the alignment of a couple of teeth, so get some x-rays.
