I thot you could but on the net all I'm finding is software that you have to buy in order to network via firewire with w2k. Any suggestions??

thanks

Win2k doesn't have integrated support for Firewire networking, so yes, you have to buy software to do it. WindowsXP and WinME are the only versions that can do it without extra software, though some still suggest buying the software for better stability and functionality.

One thing to remember is that you can only have a 15 foot length for a single cable, you have to use repeaters or hubs after that.
