Can you find me a good deal on a tv?

What kinds of features are you looking for in your TV? I.e. internet, various types of applications, etc?

I'd take a look at Amazon. They have a huge selection and shipping is free if you buy through them. A guy I worked with bought a TV recently from them and it was a painfree process and he got a great price. I think it was a 50" Panasonic G25 plasma for right around $1k.

I am not picky really want to try and get a solid brand that doesnt have crap loads of returns do to vertical lines or bleadthrough. My current tv has some bright corners which i never really noticed to recently.

But... If i could plug in a usb hard drive or runs apps that would be kind of cool.

does it HAVE to be LCD?

i ask because you can get some really good deals on plasmas in the 46-50 in range for right around 1000$

Plasmas are great. There is only the potential for burn-in, but breaking it in once you buy it will help you avoid problems with that. There's discs and other things online that you can download and run from a USB flash drive to help break it in.

A lot of people will try to bash a plasma screen because they think all the old problems still apply. I also find that a lot of people that are ANTI-PLASMA seem to have never seen or even owned one. lol

Love my Sony nx810. It will stream my media wirelessly, without a pc. That to me is a plus, got too many pc's running in e homestead. It's also nice to look at when off.. Got the 46 for 1599.
