just keep it quiet and blame it on the giy in the cubicle next to you. we do have something called "the prime directive" taking a #2 in the office bathroom is breaking it. we go use the shop bathrooms for that!

I could easily since I have my own office. However, even if the building was abandoned for some reason, the very moment I let one go a coworker would materialize from nowhere and defeating all odds of probability would feel compelled to visit me or ask me a question at that very instance in time.
 
As we speak my friend.

This morning I let one and my co-worker walked in, started sniffing the air, and said "I smell bacon!".

When I told him what I did he hung his head and backed out. Now everyone in the office asks him if he wants bacon.

One of the pluses of working in a lab environment is that the airflow is directed so as to flow from the non-research areas, to the low-BSL (biosafety level) areas, to the higher BSL areas. Just make sure you're "downwind" and let 'er rip.....no one will be any the wiser. 😀
