Can you drive a stick shift?

I've only owned 3 cars in my whole life that weren't standards. In fact the first car I ever drove was a 1964 Triumph TR-4. Of the 3 vehicles I now own one is a 3 speed, one a 4 speed and 1 a 5 speed, all sticks.

Autos bore me ....

I'm starting to agree, i've been driving my girlfriends manual lately and even though it's just a very modest saturn it is a blast to drive. My car seems so mundane to drive afterwards.

I learned how to drive a stick from my grandfather years ago, but I've driven an automatic for the last 5 years or so. I could if I had to, but it probably wouldn't be pretty.

I took my only driving test the day of my 16th birthday (Nevada doesn't require driving with an instructor/drivers ed) in a stick that I had never driven.

Some cars are OK as autos (My jeep is good, minivans, etc)

Small cars should be a stick (my 88 VW is a blast as a stick)

1. ATOTers who drive stick make fun of those who don't ... or at the very least are condescending towards them, so the the non-stick people stay away from these threads

Yes, and I will never own an automatic! No fun. Even a stick Tercel has its moments.

Yeah, I spent about 2 hours driving home in stop and go traffic with one of these shift patterns.
After I get done with that, I gladly get in my automatic car and rest my left leg.
