can you drag files across different folders in windows?

i know in the mac os, when transferring files, you can click and hold an item over a folder, and the folder will open after a few seconds. From this you can transfer items across several directories. For win2k i find i have to open a the target folder, which is really a pain. is there a program that can be downloaded that will help out.

you can drag things over the folders bar in explorer, and they'll open up for you.
