Can you do this with USB cables

Is there a USB cable out there that will allow me to connect two computers together, so I can push data back and forth??

I keep a couple of these around....but I still haven't ever figured out when I'd use one. Any PC that has a USB port also, most likely, has an Ethernet port, which is faster and doesn't require non-standard drivers.

I'd agree - but there are a few old laptops which have a USB port but no built-in NIC. Not many of these machines in use now though

I think someone in the buy/sell forum had one a few days ago. Might still be there if you search for it.

Firewire is simple with XP because most controllers are automatically set up as network adapters... just connect the cable & follow the same procedure as with ethernet.
