That one kick he does at the end of the movie

where he balances on one leg, then kicks the other dude in

the face and lands on the same foot.

After I saw that movie I practiced it for weeks. I'm not a martial artist (yet... ask me again in 6 months) but I can do that kick fairly well.

But the real question should be ..................

Who would win a fight.............. Ralph Machio (Karate Kid 1) or Hillary Swank (The New Karate Kid) ;)

Bah, I don't think any real karate person would do that, at least I wouldn't. In RL that's way too long of a setup time, like all those back-leg roundkicks everyone is always doing in movies. You'll get beat down in real life trying to do that.

Uh, anyways, I bet no one cares :)

As a proud owner of The Karate Kid I & II dvds, I sadly cannot complete a crane kick.

Used to be able to pull a 360 roundhouse. That's where you jump off your right leg, spin a full 360, kick, and land on your right leg. Could also pull a flying side kick to spin back (in the air obviously), a split kick to round, and the only Chinese guy 5'9" who could grab rim. Then I tore my ACL, gained the freshmen 15 and then some, and could never fly again.
