Just splurged on some EDO and I'm gonna set up a p133 w/ 32 megs of ram for a little backup server incase something ever happens to mine.. so uh, I know w/ mandrake you can download a network install floppy image that sets up your NIC and then you can just tell it where to install the base system and packages from (ftp).. does this exist w/ Debian? I was just looking around and I couldn't find anything, but Debian is wicked, so there must be a way!

If you have the machine setup, try downloading and rawriting/dd'ing the boot floppy and trying it. That will give you a definite answer in a shorter amount of time than asking here would :)

Look in the install instructions and it should tell you how to do a ftp/http install.
