CAN YOU DO A FRESH INSTALL WITH WINXP UPGRADE?

My question is 2 parts 1-can you do a fresh install of xp upgrade version on a blank hard drive if you have your own winme os cd?and 2-will it be just as stable and good for gaming as the home full version?please anyone?? This question is driving me crazy so if anyone can help me it will be oh so cool.....

Nice handle, anyway, if you have a blank HD and your system is setup so that you can boot off your CD-Rom/DVD-Rom/CDRW drive, yes, you can install XP upgrade version. During setup, you will be asked to prove that you have a qualifying previous version of Windows. Since you mention WinME, you should not have any problems whatsoever. The only difference between the full and upgrade version of XP Home edition, is that the upgrade version asks for proof of previous ownership while the full version does not. If you're starting from a blank HD, stability w/ be the same no matter which route you take. Hope this helps.

Yes that helps a lot !!!I want xp for as cheap as I can get it and I wont mind paying for full though if its not as good in gaming......and thanks for the compliment about my "handle".....Its a sophisticated joke that most people dont get?!!actually its very simple logic if you think about it!!
